German text Wenn wir in höchsten nöten sein / und wissen nicht wo auß noch ein / und finden weder hülff noch rath / ob wir gleich sorgen frü und spat. So ist diß unser trost allein / das wir zusamen in gemein / dich anrufen o trewer Gott / umb rettung auß der angst und not.

English translation If we are in our utmost need and don’t know what to do at all, and cannot find help or advice, although we worry soon and late, then this our comfort is alone, that all of us together we appeal to you, o constant Lord: deliver us from fear and need. Translation by Gerhard Weydt
