The original composition switches between triple meter (sesquialtera) and common time at different points. The simplified version avoids this and is easier to read. It corresponds to the solution provided in James Gibb's edition (#34977)

Description: The triple measures are originally notated 3 semibreves with circle slash; the cantus switches back to C at m. 35, confirming that m. 30's half measure is equal to the following triplet.

Latin text Spes mea, Christe Deus, Hominum tu dulcis amator, Lux, via, vita et salus, Te deprecor, supplico et rogo, Ut per te ambulem, ut te perveniam, In te requiescam.

English translation O Christ, my God, my hope, Sweet lover of humankind, The light, the way, the life and the salvation, To you I pray, entreat and ask, That I may walk with you, join with you and rest in you. Translation by James Gibb
