English text 1. Come heavy sleep, the image of true death; and close up these my weary weeping eies: Whose spring of tears doth stop my vitall breath, and tears my hart with sorrows sign swoln cries: Com and possess my tired thoughts, worne soule, That living dies, till thou on me be stoule. 2. Come shadow of my end, and shape of rest, Allied to death, child to blakefact night: Come thou and charm these rebels in my breast, Whose waking fancies doe my mind affright. O come sweet sleepe; come, or I die ever: Come ere my last sleep comes, or come never.

Polish translation 1. Przyjdź, Śnie ponury, podobny Śmierci I zamknij moje oczy spłakane. Łez strumień tamuje mi oddech w piersi, I broczy me serce szlochaniem wstrząsane. Zanim całun na mnie narzucą, Przyjdź i zawładnij zmęczoną duszą. 2. Przyjdźże, końca rychłego cieniu, Dziecko ciemności, coś bratem Kostusze, I zduś buntownika w mej piersi sklepieniu, Którego majaki trwożą mą duszę. Nim wydam z siebie tchnienie ostatnie, Przyjdź! German translation 1. Komm, tiefer Schlaf, das Abbild wahren Tods, und schließe diese meine müden, weinenden Augen, deren Tränenfluss meinen Lebenshauch aufhält und mein Herz zerreißt mit den seufzergeschwellten Klagen des Kummers; Komm, und nimm Besitz von meiner müden, von Gedanken erschöpften Seele, die lebend stirbt, bis du mich überkommst. 2. Komm, Schatten meines Endes und Maske der Ruhe, dem Tod verwandt, Kind seiner schwarzgesichtigen Nacht; Komm, und beschwöre diesen Aufruhr in meiner Brust, dessen Wachträume meinen Geist verschrecken.
