The Seven Last Words of Christ or Seven Sayings of Jesus on the Cross are a traditional collection of short phrases uttered by Jesus at his crucifixion immediately before he died, gathered from the four Gospels.
Many composers have set this text to music; here is an incomplete list, with links to works available on CPDL:
