ChoralWiki:Josquin quincentenary

Friday August 27 marks the 500th anniversary of Josquin des Prez's death. Besides compositions listed on his composer page, CPDL also hosts a few other works related to the Prince of Music:

• Missa pro defunctis, at one time attributed to Josquin himself but now considered dedicated to his memory by Jean Richafort.
• Musae Jovis, an elegy by Gerard Avidius set in part for 4 voices by Benedictus Appenzeller and in more complete form for 6 voices by Nicolas Gombert (yet another Nenia attributed to a different Benedictus appears to be a version of Appenzeller's).
• Another lament, O Mors Inevitabilis - Epithaphium Josquini by Hieronymus Vinders
