In Paradisum

Hi. You have posted two submissions of the Faure "In Paradisum", one on Faure's Requiem page and another on a separate page which asserts it is an SATB simplification of the original. The only problem is that both PDF scores are, except for their title, exactly the same in content. Also, you did not provide the Score information in either submission, but I provided it for the first submission after checking the file upload page (which also has an edition uploaded earlier, possibly and edition of the original?). Whatever is the case, the simplified (second) submission should have been posted on the Faure Requiem page, with the Edition notes explaining that the second is an arrangement for SATB. Could you clear up the matter involving the two separate editions? Thank you!! -- Charlestalk Giffen 00:43, 24 April 2023 (UTC)

Tu es Petrus (M. Haller)

Andris. Thank you. I will email you and get these files and make the corrections. You are kind and I appreciate this.

Dear Mr. William! I found on CPDL site, that You edited with MuseScore newer edition of Michael Haller "Tu es Petrus", which is based on my edition with Sibelius. As I verified Your edition, I found there several errors, especially I emphasize the error in the Bass part on the 13th measure the 1st beat, where must be "do" instead of "si". And in many places there aren't the text under the vocal Staffs, but i many measures there are a lot of wrong occasional hyphens. I would like to help You to correct these errors in Your edition, so I offer You to replace Your files with my corrected files, reedited with MuseScore program 4.2.1., what I found for this case to help You. This program is new for me, so I don't pretend to be a good expert to use it, as I use Sibelius 6 - what is easier for me. So far I created 2 PDF files, 2 MSCZ, 2 MP3, 2 MIDI (Main) and separate vocal 4 MIDI files, what I suggest to divide in two sections: 1) Choir only and 2) Choir with accompaniment. What about Your created MP3 and MIDI Practice files - You must correct it, because of error in Bass part, as I wrote above. Personally I don't see the necessity of these files, as the both categories have the same sound of Choir in background. Would be better to leave only separated vocal MIDI files with proper sound without Choir background. I offer You my help, if You are agree to accept it, only I haven't Your e-mail to send these corrected files, as Your e-mail isn't indicated on Your User Page on CPDL. So I can't also to change with Your kind permission those files directly in the post CPDL #79256, because there is a prohibition to overwrite original files (imposed by You or Administrators). If You can take away this prohibition, I could help You to replace old files with corrected files. Sure, You can do all this job Yourself! But I'm not agree to keep this newer edition with errors, sorry. We all are responsabile about the authentical music, what we publish in public sites! Please, answer me by e-mail: asolims @ inbox.lv or put here (or better in Your User Page) Your e-mail address. Thanks for understanding! I hope You will read this discussion soon!
