O Herre Gott begnade mich

A metrical paraphrase of Psalm 51. For the versification by Erhart Hegenwalt see Erbarm dich mein, o Herre Gott. Different melodies are used for this choral: a. Strasburg 1525 and b. Strasburg 1526. Calvin is said to have used this german 'Psalm Li' for one of the genevan psalms.
