Is bathed in a sea of glory,
This mystic moon-light night.

O fairy moonlight night!
I love thy tranquil hours,
And drink thy beauty in
Among these mountain bowers.

The moonlight! the moonlight
Fills every mountain bower;
And stars, like the eyes of angels,
Beam on each rocky tower.

’Tis midnight! ’tis midnight
O’er mountain vale, and sea;
And sweet are the night winds singing
Their songs of love to thee.
