Shepherds with your pipes,
make a sweet sound with me:
the lord who has loved us so greatly
is lying here, a tender child wrapped in rags.

Shepherds, do you not hear?
Come to Bethlehem, come and see,
come and see this child who loves you,
despite the cold, despite the wild wind.
