French text Original text En m'oyant chanter quelquefois, Tu te plains qu'estre je ne daigne Musicien, et que ma voix Mérite bien que l'on m'enseigne : Voire, que la peine je preigne D'apprendre ut, ré, mi, fa, sol, la. Que diable veux-tu que j'apreigne ? Je ne boy que trop sans cela. English translation Sometimes when you hear me sing you complain because I dare to call myself a musician, saying that my voice would be worth training, that it would be worth the effort for me to learn 'do re mi fa so la'.
