Antiphon during the sprinkling of believers with holy water at the start of the Mass on Sunday through the whole liturgical year, except during Eastertide when Vidi aquam is used instead.

Latin text 50:8  Asperges me Domine hyssopo et mundabor: lavabis me et super nivem dealbabor. 50:1  Miserere mei Deus, secundum magnam misericordiam tuam. Gloria Patri, et Filio, et Spiritui Sancto. Sicut erat in principio, et nunc, et semper, et in saecula saeculorum. Amen.   Italian translation Cospargimi, Signore, con la Tua grazia e sarò puro: Mi laverai e sarò più candido della neve.

English translation 51:7  Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. 51:1  Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.
