English.png English translation

Alas, if my lady sometimes sees me wretched,
Would that she would show more kindness:
No longer would all and sundry hear me beg for mercy,
Nor would the heavens re-echo with my pitiful laments.
May love then lend my heart such strength
That, where all good things have their dwelling,
It can display a servant for ever faithful.
