German text Wer sich mit einem weib verbindt/  und möcht jr sein entschlagen/  der ist fürwar gesehend blind/  sein not darff er nit klagen/  und ob er gleich wer noch so wild/  wermaint sein weib zu dempffen/  so hat er doch den rausch verspilt/  wann sie mit jm thut kempffen.  Wann er zu nachts heim heimkommen thut/  von seinen bursch gesellen/  begert zu haben guten mut/  so hebt sie an ein bellen/  wann er schon spricht/  weib schweg mir stil/  held doch jr maul kein mittel/  der predigt muß er hören vil/  darzu ein langs Capittel.

English translation Whoever binds himself to a woman /  and vanting to pair up with her/  is truely blind though he can see/  he may not complain/  and if he is still wild/  he must try to silence his wife/  he has to stand all that noise/  when he fights with her.  When he comes home at night  from his drinking companions/  having good courage/  she raises such a bark  and when he tries to speak/  saying: keep silent woman/  her muzzle will not be iddle/  He must hear all the sermon/  and a long chapter too.
