- Plus ne m'escriptz, plus de moy ne t'enquiers,
- Mais nonobstant aultre Dame ne quiers:
- Plus tost mourir, que changer ma pensée.
- Je ne dy pas t'amour estre effacée,
- Mais je me plainds de l'ennuy que j'acquiers,
- Et loing de toy humblement te requiers
- Que loing de moy, de moy ne sois faschée.
English translation
- You make me pine away, without me having offended you.
- You don't write me anymore, don't ask after me.
- But nevertheless I don't want anyone else but you, Mylady:
- I'd rather die than change my mind.
