à ce printemps qui tant souhaite.

Le rossignol [tant gai] tant gaiement
nous réjouit de sa gorgette,
chantant tant bien, tant doucement,
n'oubliez pas vous amourettes.

English translation

Let us be joyously happy
and then sing a little song
to awaken the sleeping spirit
to this spring which it so desires.

The nightingale [so merry] so cheerfully
delights us with its little throat,
singing so well, so sweetly:
don't forget your little loves.
