General information
Gradual with text from Psalm 23. In the tridentine Requiem mass of the late 16c it is replaced by Requiem aeternam with the verse In memoria aeternam, while the 1990 Gregorian Missal lists it among 4 other options.
Not to be confused with Si ambulavero (Offertory) or the even more similar Si ambulavero (Communion).
Settings by composers
Other settings possibly not included in the manual list above
- Orlando di Lasso — Missa pro defunctis
- Étienne Moulinié — Missa pro defunctis a 5
