Born: 1553
Died: 1623
Biography
Chapelmaster to the Elector of Saxony; replaced in 1615 by Heinrich Schütz. Son of a singer in the chapel of Maximilian II, he in turn had 4 composer children, the most famous of whom was Tobias Michael.
