Original text and translations
The first two lines of the Prima Pars comprise the second antiphon for Vespers on the Feast of the Guardian Angels (October 2). The remainder is of unknown origin, but strongly resembles, in form and content, a preface to the Eucharistic Canon. The Secunda Pars is composed of strophes (1, 2, 4, 5, 7) from the Vesper hymn Christe, Redemptor omnium, conserva, from the Feast of All Saints (November 1).
