Lucia sponsa Christi:
odisti quae in mundo sunt,
et coruscas cum Angelis:
sanguine proprio inimicum vicisti.

In your patience you mastered your soul,
O Lucy the spouse of Christ:
You hated the things of this world,
and now you shine with the Angels:
