The Düben Collection comprises some 2300 works mostly in manuscript gathered by Gustaf Düben (1628 – 1690) and now in the University Library of Uppsala. A few of the 300 odd composers represented are: Dieterich Buxtehude, Heinrich Schütz, Samuel Capricornus, Johann Melchior Gletle, Kaspar Förster, Christian Ritter, Christoph Bernhard, Wolfgang Carl Briegel, Christian Geist, Augustin Pfleger, Jean-Baptiste Lully, Peter Philips, Vincenzo Albrici, Giacomo Carissimi, Henri Du Mont, Crato Bütner, and Johann Heinrich Schmelzer.
