Latin text Ave, gloriosa virginum regina, vitis generosa, vite medicina, clementie resina. Ave, copiosa gratie piscina, carnis maculosa munda munda nos sentina, munditie cortina. Claritate radiosa stella matutina, brevitate legis glossa, per te lex divina irradiat doctrina. Venustate vernans rosa, sine culpe spina, caritate viscerosa, aurem huc inclina, nos serves a ruina. Cedrus puditie, cypressus puritatis, mirra penitentie, oliva pietatis, tu myrtus lenitatis. Vitis habundantie, tu palmes honestatis, palma patientie, tu nardus caritatis, fons ortus voluptatis. Stilla roris, odor floris verne novitatis, fons dulcoris, vas decoris, templum trinitatis compages unitatis. Stelle decor, placans equor, portum salutaris, ducem sequor, dulcem precor, parens expers paris, Maria stella maris.

English translation Hail, glorious queen of virgins, generous vine, vine of medicine, resin of clemency. Hail, abundant pool of grace, cleanse us stained with flesh cleanse us, curtain of purity. With the radiant clarity of the morning star, with the brevity of the gloss of the law, through you the divine law radiates doctrine. With your beauty, blooming rose, without the fault of a thorn, with your visceral charity, inclinate your ear here, save us from ruin. Cedar of modesty, cypress of purity, myrrh of penance, olive of piety, you are the myrtle of gentleness. Vine of abundance, you are the branches of honesty, the palm of patience, you are the spikenard of charity, the fountain of pleasure. A drop of dew, the scent of a flower of spring freshness, a fountain of sweetness, a vessel of beauty, a temple of the Trinity a framework of unity. Star, beauty, soothing steed, safe harbor, I follow the guide, I pray sweetly, a parent without a peer, Mary, star of the sea.
