Biography
William Hume was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, and lived in Glasgow as a teacher of violin and singing. He was music editor for the publishers Hamilton, Glasgow; Gail and Inglis, Edinburgh; and Parlane, Edinburgh. He was also editor of Union Sacred Tunebook and Westminster Wesleyan Tune Book. His compositions include cantatas, anthems, motets, songs, and part-songs.
