Why did the angels rise up in the sky, shining as bright as day.
Why did they sing "Excelsis Gloria: Jesus is on his way."
Why did the shepherds go to Bethlehem, leaving their sheep that night?
Why did the angels show the star to them? Telling them follow the light.
R.:All to offer congratulations to Mary's baby.
Revelattions will show He rules over all the nations so come and worship Him too.
Why did the wise men stop at Bethlehem, seeing the stable bare?
Why did they bring those precious gifts with them: frankincense gold and myrrh.
Sing hosanna in joyful manner God's promises have come true.
The gospel story, the King of Glory lies in a manger for you.
That's why the angels rose up in the sky shining as bright as day.
That's why they sang "Excelsis Gloria: Je-sus is on His way.
Bells are ringing out, choirs are singing out.
Joy is bringing out people flinging out badness,
leading to sadness, so there is gladness ev'rywhere now.
