Latin text Vae misero mihi quoniam Dominus addidit dolorem dolori meo laboravi in gemitu meo et requiem non inveni. O vos omnes qui transitis per viam: attendite et videte si est dolor sicut dolor meus.

English translation Woe is me now! for the Lord hath added grief to my sorrow: I fainted in my sighing, and I find no rest. All ye that pass by, behold, and see if there be any sorrow like unto my sorrow.
