Performance Notes:
. "I made these notes for my dissertation before the work came into public domain. [This pdf] has the original Russian text in Cyrillic and in Roman transliteration, including word-by-word and poetic translations, International Phonetic Alphabet transliteration, and a guide to the system of transliteration I used in the Performance Notes – which was designed to be intuitive to English-speaking singers unfamiliar with IPA."
