Description: Credited to 'Incertus autor'. Voices: Superius (G2), Contratenor (C2), Tenor (C3), Quinta pars (C3) and Bassus (F3). The first half quotes text from the Song of Songs, while the second half has a free text identifying the motet as being intended for the Nativity of the Virgin Mary.

Latin text Surge propera, amica mea, formosa mea, et veni. Iam enim hyems transiit, imber ambiit et recessit. Flores apparuerunt in terra nostra. Tempus putationis advenit. Hodie nata est virgo Maria ex progenie David, per quam salus mundi credentibus apparuit.

English translation Arise, my love, my fair one, and come. Lo, now the winter is past, the rains are over and gone. Flowers have sprung up in our land, the time of pruning is come. On this day the Virgin Mary was born of the house of David, through whom the saviour of the world appeared to believers.
