Description: A book of psalms set in a contemporary style, including two Magnificat settings and a mass. The works in this book are all set for a six-voice ripieno of soloists, accompanied by a six-voice chorus and figured basso continuo for the organ. The composer makes sure to explain, in the forward, that they can be performed in various arrangements, eg. with or without the chorus, with the chorus parts doubled, with Tenor and Soprano parts exchanged, likewise Alto and Bass parts, and/or with some or all parts replaced or doubled with instruments. Correspondingly, each work is given as for 6, 7, 8, 12, or 18 voices. This book was reprinted by Vincenti in 1639.
