Swedish text I tårar badad stod du nyss då solens första varma kyss göt purpur över sky. Din tår föll tyst, du syntes glad, din första morgonbön du bad med lov för dagen ny!

English translation In floods of tears you lately stood: the sun’s first warming kiss meanwhile was purpling the sky. You wept in silence, yet you smiled, offering up your morning prayer, praising the new day!
