Non finsi mai d'amarte
ma tu fingesti ben per darmi morte,
ristor'al mio penar, ah, cruda sorte!

Vinto d'ogni beltà
di toi bei gesti et da parole finte,

gettai mio cor in foco,
non già per darti gioco.

Sperai ognor servir con tanta fede
al fin del mio servir trovar mercede.

Ma tu, iniqua, ingrata et impia, a torto
ponesti a tal sorte il desir mio
che più la morte chiedo che'l desio.
