Latin text Ha, plange, filia Jerusalem, virgo filia Sion. En manus, en pedes, en latus, en corpus, Crudeli lancea perforatum ! O amor, O dolor! Horrescunt sidera tristantur omnia natura deficit.

German translation Ha, weine, Tochter Jerusalem, Jungfrau Tochter Zion. Sieh die Hände, sieh die Füße, sieh die Seite, sieh den Leib, von der grausamen Lanze durchbohrt! O Liebe, o Schmerz! die Sterne erschauern, alles trauert, die Natur schwindet.
