Editor: Pothárn Imre (submitted 2026-02-16).   Score information: A4, 4 pages, 94 kB   Copyright: CPDL
Edition notes: Transcribed from 1588 print. In the source the Superius has "Christus e summo veniens ad astra." The other voices have "veniens ad ima". We judged this a typo, and have all voices sing "veniens ad ima". (The structure of the Sapphic stanza also requires the same line in all voices.) Also all voices have tonantis instead of tonantes. Original key (chiavi naturali) and note values.

Prima pars
Ecce natalis rediit tonantis
O dies omni studio colende
Foeta quo Christum genuit supremo
Pneumate Virgo

Aeger o gaude veniente Christo
Nam manu certam medica salutem
Reddet optati simul et petita
Gaudia regni.

Secunda pars
Quid times? Secum veniens Iësus
Contulit veram miseris salutem
Qui tenes gaude nimio gravatum
Crimine pectus.

Christus e summo veniens ad ima
Servus humanae patet in figura
Liber ut culpa redeat remissa
Servus ad astra.
