English text
High up in the sky so far, once there was a shining star;
high up in the sky so far, at once there was a shining star.
Bright light from high above, glistening with twinkling rays;
What is, what is that; what is there to chase?
Let's follow, follow, let's follow that bright star;
follow, follow, let's follow this bright star.
So, three men set off to go and follow the bright and shining star.
Off they went on the road and the star showed them the way.
Off they went, off they went, guided by the star.
Wise men from afar came to follow that star.
Bright light for these men went before them, showed them the way.
Follow, follow, let's follow the light that did shine;
follow, follow, let's follow the light as a sign.
Praise him, praise him, praise the child for whom we sing;
praise him, praise him, praise the child that is our king.
Bright light from the star showed the way to those from afar.
So they found, so they found the child for whom to sing;
and they came so sing him praise, to the new-born King.
