Editor: Edmund Gooch (submitted 2013-12-11).   Score information: A4, 2 pages, 52 kB   Copyright: Public Domain
Edition notes: The first verse only of the text is given in the source: three other verses have been added editorially. The order of parts in the source is Tenor - Alto - Air - [Bass]. Figuring of the vocal bass line given in the source has been omitted from this edition. The source has small notes on the soprano stave to indicate the harmony of a right-hand keyboard accompaniment: this mostly doubles the voice parts, and has been omitted from this edition with the exception of four notes (the C on beat 1 of bar 4, the E on beat 2 of bar 4, the C in bar 11 and the C in bar 22) which have been added to the alto part to provide the third of the chord where this would otherwise be absent, and which are shown here as small notes. The similar divisi between G and E on beat 1 of bar 8 has both notes printed in the alto part in the source. The alto part is printed in the source in the treble clef, an octave above sounding pitch.
