(modernized)
Accomplissons. Frappez le parchemin (tou pe tou)".
"Frappez le parchemin, Robin,
La peau est de nouveau ouverte",
Dit la fillette à ce joli matin.

English.png English translation

So this morning I see this totty under a bush,
And she says to Robin "Lets dance together
To the sound of your musette (la re, la re)".
So Robin clasps her mitt, saying,
"You and me should get it together
On the lawn, to the sound of the tabor (lou, lou),
By stirring our stumps.
Thwack that goatskin (tou pe tou)".
"Thwack that goatskin, Robin,
The skin is uncovered anew",
Says the totty, this fine ack-emma.
