Description: Words by James Relly, 1776, from Christian Hymns, Poems, and Spiritual Songs, Hymn 94, entitled Solemn Praise, with six stanzas. Holyoke used the first four lines of stanzas 1, 3, and 4, ending with the chorus (last two lines of each of Relly's stanzas). Holyoke also adapted Relly's meter, 87. 87. to 97. 97.
