Kyrie eleison, Christe eleison, Kyrie eleison.
O Wisdom, coming forth from the Most High!
Wisdom, whose reach is boundless,
who orders all things mightily (Kyrie eleison),
mightily and with sweetness.

Come and teach us the way of prudence;
come and deliver us, and tarry not.
In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Through Him all things were made,
without Him nothing was made that has been made;
in Him was life, and the life was the light of men:
and the light shines on in the darkness,
and the darkness has never mastered it.

Brightness of the light eternal,
and Sun of righteousness,
Come and enlighten them that sit in darkness,
and in the shadow of death.
There was a man sent from God whose name was John.

He was not that light, but he was sent to bear witness to the light;
the true light which enlightens all of us was even then coming into the world.
He was in the world, and the world was made by Him,
and the world knew Him not! (Kyrie eleison)

He came unto His own, and his own received him not! (Kyrie eleison)
But to all who received him gave he power,
power to become the children of God;
and the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
and we beheld his glory, as of the only be-gotten of the Father,
full of grace and truth.

Eternal father of light, shine thou in our hearts!
Eternal goodness, deliver us from all that is evil.
O Wisdom, coming forth from the mouth of the Most High!
Wisdom, whose reach is boundless, disperse our foolish darkness.
Eternal compassion, do thou have mercy upon our weaknesses.
