Biography

Sylvester W. Holdredge was born in New York. He owned and operated a musical merchandise store in Queensbury, New York, and then became the Director of Music at the Newburgh Free Academy in Newburgh, New York. He taught vocal music and conducted the orchestra. He also was director of the Newburgh Musical Institute. He died in Newburgh.
