Sed libera me a malo Libera me di catena Ch'io te adoro per dea in terra. Libera me di tanta pena. dal duol che mi sotterra. Libera mi e non più guerra. Ch’io son reso senza fallo. Sed libera me a malo. Se non porgi el tuo socorso A la doglia mia infinita Io mi vegio gioncto al corso De finir la propria vita Se non progi presto aita L’alma langue donna fallo Sed libera me a malo. Qui sia fine al moi dolore E la doglia che me acora Voglio amarte a tutte l’hore Se ben voi per te ch’io mora Per che chi morendo adora El morir glie dolce mallo Sed libera me a malo.

English translation But deliver us from evil. Peace, and nevermore pain since I have rendered to you soul and heart, and the fire will never relent. But deliver us from evil. Peace, and nevermore pain. Deliver me from these chains [by which?] I adore you as an earthly goddess. Deliver me from the doom of a suffering that would bury me; Deliver me and an end to war.
