Biography

Alpheus A. Lusk was born on a farm near Wooster, Ohio, and spent his early life there. He was born with disabilities and, unable to work the farm, he studied music. He excelled as a violinist and formed a concert company with two others from Wayne County. They travelled extensively and enjoyed great success in their concert performances. He was also successful as a composer and publisher. Although he was very successful financially, he was a free spender and found himself penniless later in life. All his family members passed away before him and his obituary indicates he died alone with his violin in Wooster.
