English.png English translation

Will there then nothing come out of it
here but daily fight and strife,
misery and cross [suffering], so I beg you,
good Lord, keep me
and my people in your realm.

My Lord, you see how your foes now
best us so quickly,
without any mercy
all around by guile and quarrel,
come to our help, oh Jesus Christ.

All our hope lies in you,
show your power, help and save us,
hold out your hand to us in this distress
and don’t let us become objects of their taunt,
don’t keep silent to this great plea.

Our power here is all to weak,
your might is needed in this matter,
mere human help will avail nothing,
incline to us, preserve this house,
castle, country and people, Lord Zebaoth.
