Von Gott will ich nicht lassen,
denn er lässt nicht von mir,
führt mich auf rechten Straßen,
sonst ging ich in der Irr.
Er reicht mir seine Hand,
den Abend und den Morgen
tut er mich wohl versorgen,
wo ich auch sei im Land.
Es kann ihm nichts gefallen,
denn was mir nützlich ist.
Er meint’s gut mit uns allen,
schenkt uns den Herren
Christ sein eingeborner Sohn,
durch ihn er uns bescheret,
was Leib und Seel ern¨hret,
lobt ihn in Himmelsthron.
