Vivo ego, dicit Dominus,
nolo mortem peccatoris
sed ut magis convertatur
et vivat.

English translation

(literal)
I live, says the Lord,
and do not desire the death of the sinner,
but rather that he change his ways
and live.

(poetical)
I am living, says the Lord on high,
Not for death of sinners striving,
But they quit their paths of sinning,
And flourish.

Spanish translation

Yo vivo, dice el Señor,
Y no deseo el muerte de un pecador,
Sino más bien que se arrepienta
Y viva.

French translation

Moi qui suis la vie, dit le Seigneur,
Je né désire pas la mort d'un pécheur
Mais plutôt sa conversíon
Et sa vie.
