- Editor: Pothárn Imre (submitted 2020-04-03). Score information: A4, 15 pages, 206 kB Copyright: CPDL
- Edition notes: Transcribed from 1559 print. Original key (chiavi naturali) and note values. In the first part we rendered the Tempus perfectum as a 4/4 tact. (The flow of the music does not require a ternary rhythm, Tempus perfectum only shows that a minim of the Tempus perfectum in the first part has the same length as a semibreve of the Tempus imperfectum diminutum of the second part.) The second Alto (Septimus) is in tenor clef.

Description: The setting of the hymn in two parts:
I. Verbum supernum prodiens
II. Se nascens dedit socium
The Altus and the Tenor sing the verses O salutaris hostia in a canon in both parts. In the first part in long note values compared to the other voices (that's why the Prima pars has the very rare time signature of Tempus perfectum), in the Secunda pars they fit smoothly into the musical texture.
