Veni, dilecte mi, egrediamur in agrum, commoremur in villis,
mane surgamus, ad vineas videamus, si floruit vinea,
si flores fructus parturiunt, si floruerunt mala punica.
Ibi dabo tibi ubera mea.

Komm, mein Freund, laß uns aufs Feld hinausgehen
und auf den Dörfern bleiben,
daß wir früh aufstehen zu den Weinbergen,
daß wir sehen, ob der Weinstock sprosse und seine Blüten aufgehen,
ob die Granatbäume blühen;
