Welcome

Hello there, welcome to CPDL! Thanks for providing links to two of your editions; there are a few points to be clarified before you proceed with more additions:

  • Here at CPDL we always cite the name of the real editor/music typesetter; was it "Emily Chase"? Unfortunately we can't keep User:BRUGGART limited as the editor name.
  • Also, please follow the recommended steps to add a new edition: read first Help:Add Music and then fill out the form:Add work for each edition. This last step is necessary to create a unique CPDL# for each of your editions (you just copied the CPDL# from another edition, we have to replace it with a valid one.)
  • Last but not least, what exactly are users allowed to do with your editions: may they download and perform them for free, or do they have to request any kind of authorization?

Thank you, —Carlos (talk) 12:39, 17 April 2013 (UTC)

Hi Carlos,

Thank you very much for this ! My name is Vincent Bruggeman, I am the responsible of the lyribox project. Concerning your questions :

"Here at CPDL we always cite the name of the real editor/music typesetter; was it "Emily Chase"? Unfortunately we can't keep User:BRUGGART limited as the editor name. "

  • Yes, Emily Chase is the person who have re-edited this scores for the BRUGGART limited company who is based in London. In that situation, is it the copist or the company who provide the scores that has to appear ?

"Also, please follow the recommended steps to add a new edition: read first Help:Add Music and then fill out the form:Add work for each edition. This last step is necessary to create a unique CPDL# for each of your editions (you just copied the CPDL# from another edition, we have to replace it with a valid one.)"

  • Perfect no problem.

"Last but not least, what exactly are users allowed to do with your editions: may they download and perform them for free, or do they have to request any kind of authorization?"

  • yes, all the scores as well as all the other tools we provide within our website are free to use and do not need any subscribtion or authorization within the website. We provide as well recordings, video, translation as well as historical background. Everything is explain more in details here : http://www.lyribox.com/about/

Thank you very much for your help, All the best, Vincent Bruggeman

Hi again Vincent, thank you for your reply. Regarding Emily Chase, because her name appears inside the PDFs, in my view she should be listed as the editor, but Bruggart limited can be cited on her user page as well, with a link to your website; I'll make the necessary changes for you. It's also great to learn that all those tools on the site are available for free! All the best, —Carlos (talk) 00:50, 20 April 2013 (UTC)
