Un jour vis un foulon qui fouloit,
et en foulant mon fron regardoit.
Je luy dy: gentil foulon,
qui foule, foule, foule,
ne regarde plus mon fron,
mais foule, foule, foule.

English translation

One day I saw a fuller who was fulling,
and, while fulling, was looking at my forehead.
I said to him, Kind fuller,
that fulls, fulls, fulls,
do not look at my forehead any more,
but full, full, full.

English translation

One day I see this grape presser. Pressing grapes.
As he's doing it, he looks me in the face.
I say "Kind grape presser,
on the job,
Don't look me in the face,
but Press, press, press".

"Fuller" is the more faithful translation,
but few today would readily know that his work
entailed pounding, pounding, pounding.
