Onde vivranno in più di mille carte,
Al dispetto degli anni, illustri e chiari?
Ove sono i costumi ornati e cari,
Che si scorgean in questa e'n quella parte,
Quando ancor non avean Saturno e Marte,
Sparsi nel mond' i lor veleni amari.
Ahi, che la forza dell' ingegno e'l lume,
Della gola e del ventre infame cura,
Ha spento, e morto ogni gentil costume!
Ahi, che le giande e la fresca acqua pura,
Sdegna, e'l piacer e'l vin segue, e le piume,
