Life
Born: 1644 in Villarobledo-Albacete (Spain)
Died: 1728 in Lima (Perú)
Biography In Spain was in service of the music chapel of the Count of Lemos. When the count was named Viceroy of Perú in 1667, Torrejón followed him to the new world.
In 1676 was appointed to the post of chapelmaster of the cathedral of Lima.
On the occasion of the new King Felipe V's birthday, he composed the first american opera "La Púrpura de la Rosa".
