Biography
He was apprenticed in 1751 to Thomas Capell, who was organist at Chichester Cathedral from 1744 to 1765. Tremain served as organist of Chichester Cathedral (either holding the position in his own right or acting as Capell's deputy) from 1771 to 1775[1].
