Publication date and place: 1845 by Sorin and Ball in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 216 pp.
Description: A book of revivalist songs, mostly for two voices a cappella. Many of the tunes are by Wakefield, and many of the lyrics had been published before by Hunter. Wakefield probably was musical editor of the book, and Hunter editor of texts. In every minor-key song, the seventh (not the sixth) of the scale is raised with a sharp symbol.
